Overview
As a child I was immersed in storybooks and drawing and had a clear love for animals. I dreamed of going to art college and following a year's Foundation Course I trained in graphic design before moving into illustration for several years, creating many different subjects for licensing both in the UK and overseas markets.
Over time and feeling very drawn towards wildlife and nature on a personal level, living in Lincolnshire allowed me the space and inspiration to specialise in animal art. Spending more and more time in the presence of wildlife and absorbing the joy I felt around them, I also came to understand the wider meaning of the plight so many animals are living under and so determined to see if I could help through my artwork.
I like to portray how sentient, loving, sensitive and entertaining animals are, and I do this through a softly detailed style using pastel and pencil.
