Biography
George Lockyer is a British born artist who trained as a landscape gardener in the most prestigious gardens in London, and now resides in North Cotswolds, where his work continues to influence his art.
For the painting process, a playful entanglement of paint is first laid down, slowly building upon each layer using chemical reactions to mimic natures fundamental patterns. It is a complex process where the techniques used are constantly developing, much like in nature. The inspirations all derive from nature’s instinctive beauty and it’s spontaneity.
