Nick Andrew has been a professional artist since 1979, creating paintings that reflect the essence of the natural world. Based at a watermill on the River Wylye in Wiltshire, he draws inspiration from the surrounding rivers, woodlands, and meadows. His work is defined by a gestural, textured style that captures the energy and rhythm of the landscape.
Primarily working in acrylics, Nick combines realism and abstraction, often incorporating memory and imagination into his process. His art is featured in public and private collections, including the Houses of Parliament and Shell UK, and he has completed commissions for institutions such as St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and Prudential Assurance.
Nick’s contributions extend beyond his paintings—he is the founder of the Wylye Valley Art Trail, Wiltshire’s largest visual arts event. Passionate about the beauty of the natural world, Nick continues to explore and experiment, conveying the fleeting and timeless qualities of the landscapes he loves.
