Neil Welch

Born in the heart of the potteries Staffordshire in 1972. Neil is an outstanding figurative bronze sculptor much respected in his chosen field.

Neil considers himself self taught and he started early as a child making his own Jim Henson Muppets and monster masks in his bedroom to put on shows for his friends.

At 16 he gained a two year apprenticeship at the New Victoria theatre as a stage set and props designer where he discovered a love of sculpture which has never left him. Neil then spent 7 years as an “in house” sculptor for Wedgwood
