Andrew Field

Andrew is a British landscape painter who has lived in the United Arab Emirates but is now living and working in Stratford Upon Avon. He has painted all of his life and he is known for creating powerful and evocative figurative and abstract paintings that are a direct response to the landscape. Working with gestural brush marks he aims to achieve balance, energy and dynamism, to inspire the viewer and remind them of the beauty and power of the natural environment as well as the calming qualities of being surrounded by the elements. His new collection of paintings are oils on canvas and wooden panels and he uses eco-friendly diluents and mediums that are plant-based and derive from sustainable sources. This aligns with his ethical approach and interest in preserving and celebrating the natural environment.

In recent years Andrew has exhibited at Mall Galleries in London with prestigious art societies including The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Society of British Artists and The Royal Society of Marine Artists. Recently his painting titled ‘Serpentine’ was selected by World renowned British artist Chris Levine for the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition 2023.  Chris Levine, renowned British artist famed for dynamic portraits of subjects from The Queen to Kate Moss, has since gone on to collect Andrew’s paintings. Andrew has undergone important commissions in recent years and his work can be seen on board the boutique cruise liner ‘The Spirit of Adventure’ operated by SAGA cruises as well as Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Headquarters in Dubai and Macdonald Hotels in the UK. Andrew's work hangs in many private and corporate collections around the World.
