Ewa Czarniecka
"By focusing on the interplay of light and texture, Ewa’s work invites viewers to see beyond the literal, evoking the emotions of a moment rather than its reality."
"Through textured brushstrokes and vibrant colors, Ewa Czarniecka’s art captures fleeting moments of light, movement, and emotion, blending abstraction with impressionistic flair."
Ewa Czarniecka’s artistic journey began with a pen and paper, journaling her thoughts daily. It wasn’t until adulthood that she rediscovered painting and found a medium that truly allowed her to express the intricate details she observed in the world around her. Ewa’s work often highlights the flicker of light, dappled shade, or subtle patterns that the eye catches but a camera might miss.
Blending elements of Abstract and Impressionism, Ewa’s paintings gesture at shapes and figures while capturing the interplay of light and reflections with loose, textured brushstrokes. Bright colors and rich layers bring a fantastic depth to her pieces, which strive to convey the feeling of a moment rather than its literal reality. This approach is both liberating and deeply emotional for the artist, inviting viewers to engage with the essence of her vision.
Moving to London from Poland was a turning point in Ewa’s career. The vibrant art scene of Bayswater Road in Hyde Park, where artists gathered to display and sell their work, provided the perfect launchpad for her creative pursuits. As her art gained popularity across the UK, Ewa sought a quieter environment to focus fully on her craft. She and her husband eventually settled in the Brecon Beacons in Wales, where the serene and familiar surroundings continue to inspire her work.
